Workshops!

Workshop Contact Juggling happened at Berlin, Moscow, Tokio, Minsk, and where ever you need with Kelvin Kalvus (D)

One thousand more things you never believe, the holy shit mystery of keep up with the balls, individual serious fun!!!

All aspects of contact juggling covered, from bodyrolling, isolationism, and multiball contact to presentation techniques, fitting moves together, as well as exploration sessions…

I aim to teach good manipulation technique in a fashion that becomes fun and easy to digest for all levels of skill. Expect a lot of people to get rather good, rather quickly.
All the workshops are in Kelvin English, which is a understandable variation of Oxford Englisch without grammar and vocabular

So there are three different levels, but it’s even possible to join and understand all of them

  • Beginners: That means in generally you get the theoretical basics about my style of bodyrolling, learn a combination, which allows you to explorer by yourself during a lot of practice, combining those ideas with other (later) skills
  • Medium: You start moving with the body and the ball a lot, using stalls, frezzes and levels and spinnings during contact juggling (especially behind the neck and chess-rolls combining with armrolls)
  • Advanced: You will get the feeling of using two, three or four balls, we try to fit out your abilities to use multiballs not even in the hands, so we combine contact juggling with “normal” juggling, isolationism and bodyrolls.

  • First Day: MATRIX the system, the levels, up and down with BAG (balls against gravity), and keep your body rolling, the “empty hand” thing
  • Second Day: Turnings, twirrlings, chess rolls, behind the neck, Bauch/Beine/Po, stalls
  • Thirth Day: brain massacre step fun, getting personal, blind stuff, discovery channel, isolation (even I don’t like it)
  • Fourth Day: two balls, one body, no brain, three balls in the mix (juggling/contact/isolation), four balls as a magic number, 5-8 balls if there is time

Big fun, keep on rolling!

Fundamentale Literatur gibt’s von Björn Böttcher: „Die Kunst der Kontaktjonglage“ und von his Master’s voice Drew Batchelor: „Multiball Contact“.
